“Where did you have your wedding? Who was your wedding photographer?” Is a question we get asked ALL the time.

Well truth is, we looked at venues, photographers, cakes, had engagement pictures done etc. But, then decided not to have wedding…

Why didn’t you have one… You’re both photographers..

We decided to just go to the court house and get married.

Most people are like “What? that is so crazy.” since we are both wedding Photographers. “Why wouldn’t you have a wedding?”

At the time everything was just now opening up from COVID and, honestly we really didn’t have the budget for a ceremony and reception like we wanted once we looked at cost of everything. All I knew was I just wanted to marry my best friend.

If you know me you know I’m impatient! All I literally wanted to do was marry Tanner. The little things just didn’t matter to either of us at the time. So we decided to go ahead, get married on a Thursday morning and spend the rest of the day together.

We had one of our first weddings that coming up weekend to photograph. A month later, we went on a trip to the beach and spent the weekend there to celebrate. Now, almost 2 years later we both look back and wished we had done a wedding. But, still so glad we took that leap. One day, we plan on doing a vow renewal, so that we can have that wedding of our dreams to celebrate our sweet marriage.

I love our story, and love that while photographing our sweet couples day we see the little things, we see how important every little detail is and love celebrating our wonderful couples!
