Okay so you’ve booked your graduation photographer. You want your graduation session to be perfect. So now what?!
Book your hair and makeup artist
Next, book your favorite hair and makeup artist. I always recommend hiring a hair and makeup artist so that it takes less stress off of you. And, what better excuse to get pampered than your graduation session! Professionals also know how to do makeup well for photos with it showing up differently through the camera. It truly makes a difference. If you’re doing your hair and makeup on your own, I would add a little more than you normally would!
Choosing your outfits
A white or black dress is always a moment! I also love when my seniors bring a fun dress that matches their school color. What better time to get dressed up! Any work wear attire for what you plan to do after graduation is a great way to document this moment that you worked so hard for! Bringing a jersey to slip over your dress is a fun way to add variety and are usually some of my favorite photos!
Iron or steam clothing the night before your graduation session
Don’t forget to steam any clothing that may have wrinkles. It can make a huge difference in your photos!
Deciding on what you want your session to look like
Maybe you want to float in the fountain, bring a cool car or maybe you participated in a sport or club. You could bring your uniform, trophy or metals. Whichever it is lets do it, after all you’ve worked so hard to get to this moment. Lets make your session, YOU.
Electronics
As much as I love my apple watch too. Don’t forget to take it off along with your pony tail holders for photos. It can out date your photos years from now. I don’t want you to look back whether it’s a year or years from now and wish you would’ve taken it off. We want your graduation photos to be timeless!
